Our dewar jar is the perfect tool for grinding tissue and cell cultures at liquid nitrogen temperatures. It can hold an 1.5 - 2 mL centrifuge tube and is designed to keep it fully submerged in liquid nitrogen. The liquid nitrogen lasts for about one hour. The outer surface of the jar stays warm to the touch so it can be handled safely with bare hands. The grooves on the cover allow evaporated nitrogen to escape freely, without surprise lid jumping.
