APDS-9930 light environment and proximity detection module provides I2C interface compatible ambient brightness sensor (ALS) and proximity sensor with infrared LED. The high sensitivity provided by the ambient brightness sensor allows the device to operate behind dark glass, and the proximity sensor can operate well under different lighting conditions. The addition of a micro-optical lens in the module provides high-efficiency transmission and reception of infrared energy, allowing the device to have a very low average power consumption.
