Yin Chen Hao (Artemisia Capillaris) is a deciduous shrub growing to 1ft 8in by 1ft 8in. The root is thin, vertical, slightly branched. The stalk is single, straight, thin, 30-90 cm tall, brown or reddish-brown. Stem leaves are glabrous, short-leaved or sessile. Bracts are short, simple, and filiform. Marginal flowers are pistillate. Achenes are 0.7 mm long, ovate, with a tip extended, dark brown, ribbed. Yin Chen Hao blooms in August; seeds ripen in the fall.
