Description

The painting on the wall inside the queen's tomb shows a dream of a better future. The picture depicts the Egyptian Goddess Isis guiding Nefertari by holding her hand. The gods of Egypt welcome Nefertari, guiding her to the afterlife by giving directions and carrying out ceremonies and tests from the Book of the Dead. The scenes depict Nefertari's journey from death to rebirth. She emerges from the eastern horizon like a sun disc.
