We've adopted the more modern Type-C connector, with integrated cable for portability and ease, as well as a higher-end chip for superior audio. Many USB audio adapters tap out at 16-bit, 44/48.1KHz, but the AU-UCMA can handle input and output at 16/24-bit at up to a 96KHz sampling rate. The audio adapter provides two 3.5mm analog sound jacks, one for input/microphone and one for stereo output, for a simple all-in-one design.
