The POWER-OUT ALERT by Winland is a compact, easy-to-use monitor that simply plugs into any outlet on the (120 volt AC) circuit needed to be monitored. POWER-OUT ALERT has an attached 15 foot cord that wires into an existing alarm system, telephone dialer or other emergency equipment. When power to the monitored circuit is interrupted for more than 3 to 8 consecutive minutes, POWER-OUT ALERT activates the connected emergency equipment, providing prompt notification of a power outage. This sensor can be used with virtually any security/monitoring/home automation system that accepts a dry contact closure as a signal. Use it with the X10 Security System Wireless Transmitters, the JDS TimeCommander Plus, Sensaphone, etc. Contacts rated for 500mA at 30 Volts AC/DC.
