There is metal clip permanently attached on the mount that matches rear slot in the camera perfectly. With heavy duty magnets, just replace the original alligator clip with the magnet mount and you can rest assured that your camera will stay exactly where you put it and record what happens in the field. To use it, simply place the back and front plates between the garment at the location you want to mount the camera and the magnetic attraction will hold it in place.
