The Fowler High Precision - Trimos 54-192-340 is an electronic height gage with large, hand-operated feed wheel, a Carbide probe, RS-232 output, a measurement range of 16 inch (407mm), and a high-contrast LCD digital readout with resolution of 0.00005"/0.001mm and 0.00032"/.008mm accuracy. The range with probe inverted of the gage is 20 inch (508mm). a large, hand-operated feed wheel raises and lowers the gage on the beam with smooth, even travel. The gage has direct RS-232 and USB output for data export. The gage is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery. The gage comes with a charging unit, a measuring insert with Ruby ball ø4mm, a probe holder elbow ø8mm, a setting gage and a Test certificate of accuracy. The fowler-trimos V vertical measuring instruments have been developed for the most difficult workshop environments. Manufactured in their entirety in Switzerland, they guarantee a robust, precise and reliable product in the long run. They also come with full 5 year warranty on material and workmanship offered by Fowler precision. If you experience any problem contact Fowler directly for warranty claims. Fowler, an American company, manufactures inspection and measurement instruments such as electronic indicators, calipers, bore gages, and digital scales. The company, founded in 1946, is headquartered in Newton, MA. Height gages, sometimes referred to as gages, are precision measuring instruments that travel on a vertical Column (also called the beam) to measure and/or mark the vertical distance from the base of an object in fine units. The vertical position of the gage and its attached pointer are changed by turning a calibrated screw, or one or more feed wheels. Recorded rotations are read from a scale, a dial, counters, and/or an electronic display. A screw clamp holds the pointer to the gage. On compatible units, the scriber may be replaced by an electronic touch-signal probe. Height gages are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering.
