A very clever merging of the collage subject and the material used to make it, Hawaii Beach constructs a classic two-piece bathing suit out of images of vintage beach life. The colours selected call to mind the ocean and fun times in the sun, while the careful juxtaposition of different shades give the bathing suit depth. This could almost be a real suit. It's impossible to see this collage and not be transported to this simpler time of frolics on the beach.
