Description
This candelabra base bulb is designed for 120-volt fixtures most commonly used in the US and CANADA. This 0.5 watt bulb uses six LEDs and is a low-power/no-heat replacement for standard incandescent night light bulbs. It produces light in the AMBER region of the spectrum peaking at 589 nm, an area of the spectrum well removed from the blue region responsible for melatonin suppression. This bulb provides ample background lighting in rooms for individuals who must get up during the night. Although sleeping in total darkness is recommended, this bulb may also be used in a night light in bedrooms if a child is afraid to sleep in the dark. It's also a perfect light source for baby nurseries.
This bulb will not work in automatic ON/OFF night light fixtures that use a light sensors. Use in a standard ON/OFF switch-based 120v night light fixture.
DO NOT USE ON A DIMMER AS CERTAIN DIMMERS MAY CAUSE THIS BULB TO FAIL. THIS BULB MUST NOT BE USED IN FIXTURES THAT HAVE LIGHT-SENSITIVE ON/OFF SWITHCHES. THIS WILL CAUSE THE BULB TO FAIL.
