Whether recording a podcast or live streaming via social media, creators will find all the tools necessary to make great-sounding content using the two Class-leading mic preamps to capture every nuance of conversations or voiceovers, and using the built-in stereo Loopback functionality to enable audiences to hear virtual guests or system audio with ease.

With SSL's next-gen AD/DA converters, punchy mic/line/instrument inputs, two discrete professional-grade headphone outputs, and the SSL production Pack, SSL 2+ MKII gives music producers everything needed to make professional-quality music in the studio. Providing the essential connectivity for microphones and instruments (with auto-detect instrument DI inputs), SSL's Legacy 4K analog enhancement to impart that unique "mojo" to your tracks, and zero-latency monitoring to comfortably capture performances, SSL 2+ MKII enables songwriters and artists to quickly create great-sounding demos—all the way to finished tracks ready for streaming. And for live performance, SSL 2+ MKII offers 5-pin DIN MIDI I/O to trigger samples and loops, and DC-coupled line outputs suitable for sending CV to synths.

Two High-Gain SSL Mic Pre / Line-Level Inputs

The SSL 2+ MKII is equipped with two high-performance SSL-designed microphone preamps, delivering a massive 64 dB gain range and outstanding 116.5 dB dynamic range.

The design uses a mixture of specially chosen discrete, low-noise transistors in combination with ICs to deliver performance far beyond what's usually associated with a portable bus-powered interface.

Both mic/line channels are equipped with independently switchable high-pass filters to clean up rumble. And for condenser microphones, switchable +48V phantom power is provided, so you can record with a mixture of microphone types at the same time.

The two XLR-1/4" combo inputs double up as line-level inputs, designed to capture keyboards, synths, samplers, drum machines, or external audio processors like EQs and compressors. With a huge 117 dB dynamic range and +24 dBu maximum input level, SSL 2+ MKII's line inputs are compatible with all professional line-level equipment.

Two Hi-Z / Instrument Inputs

In addition to the XLR-1/4" combo mic/line inputs on the back panel, SSL 2+ MKII features two dedicated 1/4" auto-detect instrument (DI) inputs located on the front panel. Just like you find on a guitar amp, these Hi-Z inputs allow you to record guitar, bass, or anything with a high impedance output.
