Josh's Frogs MicroCal Calcium Substrate Supplement (.75 oz) is an innovative substrate supplement for bioactive enclosures, and is the first of it's kind. MicroCal is a convenient, simple way to add much needed bioavailable calcium, minerals, and trace elements back into a depleted substrate. Many substrates are quickly depleted of calcium by a clean up crew, such as isopods or springtails.
Substrate containing calcium is also important for commonly kept pet millipedes and other pet invertebrates.

How to Use: If the substrate used does not contain calcium, apply two light shakes per quart of substrate when first used, then one light shake per quart every 1-2 months. For substrates containing calcium, such as Josh's Frogs MIllimix, apply one light shake per quart every 1-2 months. Carefully turn substrate after Microcal is applied, so the powder is not visible. Water substrate after application.

Warnings/Caution: Josh's Frogs MicroCal Calcium Substrate Supplement is not intended to be used as a dusting supplement for feeder insects, or to be applied to vegetables, dry foods, etc. Apply lightly - a little goes a long way!
