Red dots and close range optics can be positioned further forward, for more comfortable eye relief. Installs via included set screws into the Ruger 10/22 factory mounting holes. Extended version is 5.5 inches in total length with 13 rail slots versus 4.5 inches with 11 slots for the standard version.
