【Product Installation】
- The exact steps for installation are as follows. First, before starting the replacement, keep you have all the necessary tools and materials, including a new windshield tape, plastic squeegee, scissors, cleaner, and a clean cloth. Also, keep your vehicle parked in a flat and safe place and turn off the engine. Second, remove the old adhesive strip by using a plastic scraper to gently pry up one end of the old strip and then slowly peel it along the edge of the windshield. Be careful not to use metal tools that could scratch the glass or bodywork. If the strip is more difficult to remove, you can use a hair dryer to heat the strip to make it soften and easy to peel. Third, clean the edges of the glass, after removing the old adhesive strip, use a cleaner and a cloth to thoroughly clean the edges of the windshield to keep there is no residual glue or dirt. Fourth, install the new adhesive strip, align the end of the new strip with the corner of the windshield and press gently to fit it against the edge of the glass. Gradually push the adhesive strip into place along the contour of the glass. If the adhesive strip is too long, you can use scissors to trim the excess to keep the strip tightly fitted to the glass and body. Fifth, after the installation is complete, double check that the adhesive strip fits evenly and that there are no wrinkles or air bubbles.
