3-Step Battery Charging:
Step 1: Fast charge pattern
Once the charger is connected to a sealed lead acid battery and plugged in, it is in constant current pattern with the charge current remaining at maximum capacity.
Step 2: Constant voltage pattern
The charger switches to constant voltage pattern when the battery is 80-95% charged. It will provide a constant voltage, and the charge current decreases to the charge termination level.
Step 3: Float charge pattern
The charger will switch to this pattern when the battery has been fully charged. You can remove the battery from the charger.
If not, the charger will automatically lower the charging voltage to about 12.6V/cell to compensate for self-discharge.
The battery can be connected for an unlimited time and when you reconnect the battery, the charging process will return to step 1.
