▶HIGH-PERFORMANCE◀:The Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve is located in the EVAP canister, above the rear of the muffler. The canister purge valve is a vital part of the Evaporative Emission Control System (EVAP). The EVAP system seals the fuel system of your vehicle to prevent harmful fuel vapors from entering the environment. The purpose of the canister vent valve is to control the flow of air into and out of the Evaporative Emission Control (EVAP) system.
▶ATTENTION◀:One of the symptoms that a faulty canister purge valve may produce is a rough idle, Another symptom is difficult starting, and may also set off the Check Engine Light. The canister purge solenoid is an emissions component and is therefore an important piece in making sure that the vehicle meets emission requirements. Replace as soon as possible if damaged.
