Traditional sashiko embroidery placemat kit for starters crafts making. All necessary tools are included for your sashiko making.
Sashiko embroidery combines a rustic style with an elaborate design that can be accomplished by simply running the needle (flat stitch). In the early days of Sashiko embroidery, parallel stitches were the mainstay, but in the later days, because of the need for decorative purposes, the patterns of the stitches were gradually enriched, and in addition to the original patterns, the patterns were absorbed from other forms of art in Japan, such as Japanese architecture, traditional motifs, and fine art motifs, and so on.
