MERIT Golf makes tour quality balls designed for Junior swing speeds. We are proud to introduce you to the MERIT M1s. The "S" is for “soft”. The MERIT M1s is the LESS firm of our two models. It's designed for junior golfers who have swing speeds UNDER 80 MPH. Traditional golf balls are designed for PGA and LPGA Tour Pros with clubhead speeds of 100-120mph. Competitive juniors' don't swing fast enough to benefit from the performance those balls are designed to deliver.The M1s is expertly engineered and aerodynamically tuned to fly at maximum speeds while maintaining a controlled trajectory at driver clubhead speeds UNDER 80 mph / 130 kmh (check out the M1 model for speeds OVER 80 mph). MERIT was founded by a competitive junior golfer and his father, who were looking for an edge in their equipment. We use the same materials and production facilities as "Pro" Tour balls, including a Urethane cover and multi-piece construction. MERIT's 3-layer design includes a large inner layer, along with a thin mantle, and a 322 dimple cover of cast urethane for a high-spin. MERIT balls are longer off the tee and softer around the greens. In testing with an independent lab, they found the M1 and the M1s have higher carry and total distance with junior swing conditions than comparable "Pro" balls, along with superior spin conditions around the green.
