[FUNCTION] The 5 micron 2.5" x 20" whole house carbon filter reduces chlorine, taste, and odor. It is efficient and effective in removing volatile organic carbon compounds and solvents.
[QUALITY] This 5 micron 20 x 2.5 is manufactured with high purity 100% coconut shell activated carbon, then compressed into block form. Providing a healthy and safe water-filtering experience, the filter is wrapped with dense PP food-grade non-shedding fabric, preventing carbon fines from entering the filtered water.
[SAFE USE] For drinking water applications. Do not use where water is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the activated carbon water filter. Flush the filter with at least 3 gallons of water prior to usage or if contains carbon, until black carbon residue disappears.
[SPECIFICATIONS] Use proper filter housing matching the specs of this filter. Temperature rating: 40 F - 125 F (4.5 C - 51.6 C). Service Life: 6-12 months / 24,000 gallons (90,000 L).
