Applications:Due to its unique pores and acidic characteristics, ZSM-5 molecular sieves have been widely used in petrochemical, coal chemical and fine chemical fields, such as catalytic cracking, diesel decondensation, catalytic dewaxing, shape-selective catalysis, aromatization to increase the octane number of straight-run gasoline, toluene disproportionation, xylene isomerization, methanol conversion to gasoline, methanol dehydration to dimethyl ether and aromatization of low-carbon hydrocarbons, and C3-C4 fraction stacking to produce gasoline.
Description
The chemical composition of ZSM-5 can be expressed by the molar ratio of oxides: 0.9±0.2M2/nO:Al2O3:5---100SiO2:ZH2O, where M is a cation (alkali metal sodium ion and organic amine ion); n is the valence of the cation; Z is from 0 to 40. ZSM-5 has a very high silicon-aluminum ratio. Molecular sieves with different silicon-aluminum ratios can be synthesized according to needs and can vary in a wide range of 10 to 3000 or more.
