TotalMass MLV Barrier is used in walls, ceilings, floors, over doors, windows, fences, around pipes, duct work, in vehicles, and virtually anywhere additional sound control is needed. This nominal 1/4" (5mm) thick material is generally used in assemblies that require better isolation of lower frequencies (traffic noise, home theaters, recording studios, etc). This material is manufactured new. There is a low odor to the material that fades quickly, the color does not fade when exposed to the elements, and it can be used indoors or outdoors, and installed with nails, screws, or staples.
