The camera's newly-engineered 26MP APS-C Exmor R CMOS sensor and BIONZ XR processor work together to produce high-quality 4K images using the Super 35mm (16:9) area. Capture over 14 stops of dynamic range and boost performance in low-light conditions.

The device supports 10-bit 4:2:2 recording in the advanced XAVC HS XAVC S-I formats. The 6K sensor provides full pixel high-quality UHD 4K video recording at up to 60 fps. It also shoots 4K at up to 120 fps with a 1.6x crop, and in Full HD at up to 240 fps. HDMI output can deliver 16-bit raw video to recorders separately.
