Q: Is this adapter a 1/2 " drive?
A: This set of adapter reducers consists of 1/4" to 1/4", 3/8" to 1/4", and 1/2" to 1/4". If you order one set, you will get 3 of 1/4 inch drives, 2 adapters in 1/4 to 3/8 inch and 3/8 to 1/2 inch, and 2 reducers of 3/8 drive to 1/4 inch drive and 1/2 drive to 3/8 inch drive.

Q: What is Impact?
A: It's a type of wrench/driver that allows you to use an impact wrench if needed to loosen a nut or bolt without the adapter breaking, or you can just use it for every jobs that don't require an impact wrench.

Q: Would the impact adapters fit a normal ratchet?
A: They're specifically meant to be used with high-torque impact tools and applications. Impact reducers will fail at much lower torque values when incorrectly used in place of chrome reducers on breaker bars and hand ratchets. If you're only using them with non-impact hand tools, better to get the chrome non-impact kind.
