Imagine a sunny day. You are walking your dog. Your pet is calm, obedient and well-mannered. No pulling, no dragging. Wonderful, right? If it's a dream for you, you'll love this prong collar.
Original Herm Sprenger pinch collars are upscale tools for dog training. Professional dog handlers recommend using prong collars when other methods of training don't work for a particular canine.
The curogan prong collar consists of a center-plate, nylon loop, click lock buckle, 1 O-ring and 10 links. Symmetrically arranged prongs together with a center-plate distribute the pressure equally over the dog's neck. The O-ring serves for leash connection. The click lock buckle differs this item from others. This small detail prevents the collar from accidental unfastening.
This Sprenger training collar is 16 inches/41 cm long. It is a standard size. But you can add or remove prongs in order to adjust the collar according to your dog's parameters. If you would like to make the pinch collar imperceptible, coat it with a nylon cover.
How do I measure the neck size of my dog?
Please put a measuring tape closely to the fur right behind the ears and under the jaw.
Mind that two fingers should slip between the collar and the dog's neck. Or you can measure his neck and add two inches.
When the collar is on his neck it should allow you to slide two fingers under the collar and your dog's neck.
If there's an extra room, you need a smaller size and you should remove links. If both fingers don't fit, the collar is too small and some links should be added.
This particular prong collar is made of special copper alloy called curogan. It is durable and practical.
NOTE!
Curogan prevents discoloration of light-haired dogs in 9 out of 10 cases, so it's suitable for any fur color. However, to be 100% sure that the item won't stain light coat choose stainless steel pinch collar.
