  • The optical design includes one XA element, which provides exceptional surface precision for effective control of astigmatism, field curvature, coma, and other spherical aberrations. Additionally, two extra-low dispersion elements—one being a Super ED element—are incorporated to minimize chromatic aberrations and color fringing, enhancing clarity and color accuracy. A Nano AR Coating is also applied to reduce surface reflections, flare, and ghosting.
  • The XD Linear Motor system and internal focus mechanism deliver fast, quiet, and accurate autofocus performance while enhancing manual focus control for a more natural feel. With a minimum focusing distance of just 2.3 feet, it achieves a maximum magnification of 0.25x, making it ideal for close-up subjects. Two customizable focus hold buttons on the lens barrel provide intuitive tactile control and quick access to selected settings.
