Description

CAP1188 1602 CAP TOUCH BREAKOUT BRD Touch Module for Arduino

Product Description:

Sensor Type Touch Capacitive

Sensing range 8 buttons/keys Interface

Voltage - Power Supply 3 V ~ 5V

Description:

This easy to use 8-channel capacitive touch sensor breakout board is dominated by the CAP1188 and can add a large number of touch sensors to your next microcontroller project. The chip can handle up to 8 individual touch pads and has a very nice feature that makes it stand out from the rest of us: when a matching touch sensor triggers, it will light up 8 on-board LEDs to help you debug your sensor settings. Comes fully assembled with the board and a 0.1" cutout so you can plug it into a breadboard.

Using this chip is much easier than using analog inputs for capacitive sensing. The CAP1188 supports both I2C and SPI, so it's easy to use with any microcontroller. If you are using I2C, you can select one of the following 5 addresses: one I2C

2-wire bus with a total of 40 capacitive touch pads.
