Description
C style carbide-tipped brazed square nose tool bit has a neutral cutting direction and a 0° end cutting angle for forming, turning, facing, chamfering, and grooving. The C style, also called square nose, tool shape has a 0° end cutting angle for making cuts perpendicular to the workpiece or for chamfering, and a neutral cutting direction for right-to-left or left-to-right feed. The tool has a positive, 7° rake angle that provides a sharp edge for making continuous cuts. Tools with a C-5 carbide grade are for roughing and heavy machining of steel and steel alloys. C-6 carbide grade are for general purpose machining of steel and steel alloys. C-2 carbide grade tools are for general-purpose machining of cast iron and non-ferrous materials. The square shank fits square toolholders.
