IntroductionThe MG-A01 (M10 Ultra) GNSS module integrates a special version of the 10th generation receiver chip – M10050, which operates at a higher frequency than usual, alongside the QMC5883L magnetic sensor. This module supports all L1 GNSS signals (GPS/GLONASS/Galileo/BeiDou) and can use up to 32 satellites simultaneously for navigation. The high-gain 25 x 25 x 4mm patch antenna ensures optimal performance. Built-in flash allows parameters to be retained even if the module loses power.
Why Choose M10 Ultra? The M10 is the latest GNSS receiver generation, offering faster startup, greater positioning accuracy, and more satellite connections. However, the standard M10 (5Hz) has a lower navigation update rate than the M8 (10Hz) and M9 (25Hz). To address this, the MG-A01 utilizes an enhanced M10 chip with a 10Hz update rate while maintaining 32-satellite tracking.
To overcome M10's navigation update stability issues, ArduPilot developers restricted satellite numbers by disabling BeiDou B1L and GLONASS. However, using the M10 Ultra can achieve this stability without configuration changes.
