Special Features

  • Better penetration. Due to the thin shaft diameter of the Ballista Fractura, the arrow has better penetration than the standard arrow. Its micro-diameter (about half the surface area of larger diameter shafts) significantly reduces drag (friction) as the arrow slides through the target. This gives you an advantage when hunting big game.
  • Reduced wind drift. Smaller surface area of the shaft reduces the effect of wind and side drift by almost 2 times. Therefore, the arrow's stability in the flight is increased, and the accuracy of the shot is improved.
  • Better balance. The insert is tapered and half recessed into the shaft with the other half outside, which ensures a near perfect FOC. To achieve perfect balance of the arrow, you don't need to install a variety of weights. Use the standard aluminum insert to shoot at targets, and the brass insert for hunting. All inserts at the wide part are compatible with any tips or broadheads on the market.
  • Bolt weight adjustment. You can replace the original aluminum insert with a steel or brass one to increase the bolt's weight. No difficult manipulations to increase the weight.
  • The tips are not glued in! Depending on your purposes, you can glue in aluminum tips (included) or use steel tips (not included). We always recommend using hot glue to easily replace inserts with heavier ones.

Better downrange velocity
Micro-diameter arrows Ballista Fractura also retain their velocity better when released. The arrows slow down as they move forward due to the friction with the air they pass through. The more surface area the arrow has, the faster it loses speed. Since thin arrows maintain speed better, they also have more kinetic energy and better penetration over long ranges.

Better penetration
Thanks to their micro-diameter, the Ballista Fractura arrows enter the target with ease. Experiments have shown that, compared to standard diameter (.296), micro-diameter shafts increase penetration by up to 25%!

Use with any tips
The only micro-diameter arrow in the world that you can use with any tips. You have the full freedom to customize. Practice & Hunt Penetrator insert at the wide part comes in a standard size, which allows for any broadhead to be used.

Reduced wind drift
Micro-diameter shaft significantly reduces the effect of wind and other factors during the arrow's flight. Therefore, you increase the arrow's stability in the flight and, as a result, the accuracy of the shot.

Arrow weight adjustment
You can replace the original aluminum insert with a copper or steel one to increase the arrow weight.

Fast speed
All arrows naturally slow down as they move forward because of the friction of the air they are passing through. Micro-diameter arrows maintain their speed better during descent. For bowhunting, arrow speed is one of the key factors.

Don't Slash it... Drill it
Placing more mass on the front of the arrow (F.O.C.-Front-of-Center) and the rigidity of the micro shafts improves the flight of the arrow with a “quiter” and consistent shot
