2.Warm tip:
(1)This adapter fits both UV-5R, the UV-82 UV-82HP and a Baofeng PoFung GT-3 Mark-II perfectly. It provides a firm foundation for connecting an external antenna to improve the range of both transceivers and reduce the risk of damaging the SMA connection on the radio.
(2)Tried a couple of other designs of SMA-F to BNC-F adapters and none of them fit tightly down on top of the radio. Concerned about the stress that may be placed on the radio antenna fitting with the other ones tried.
(3)Prefect fit for Baofeng BF-F8HP handheld transceiver. When installed, due to the size of the base, it looks like the BNC Jack is part of the radio. Perfect for connecting a mobile or other antenna via a standard BNC.
