Our XL patch is designed for large rips or to cut to size for awkward spots. It sticks to leather, vinyl and many other upholstery fabrics as well as metal, wood and plastic. APPLICATION: Simple! Just peel off backing paper, then press down patch over damaged area. Check area is dry underneath. You can use item straightaway. Bond strengthens over 24 hours. ●Cut patch to shape before removing backing paper (note, the backing paper is stiff and the patch is more flexible once this is removed). Use your sharpest scissors for neatest edge. ●Make sure patch is big enough to cover the damage and still have some smooth and stable surface beneath to bond to. ●When applying on an area subject to a lot of friction, make sure edges are positioned where they are least likely to be subject to constant chafing. ●Take care over bumpy seams and folds - a patch should follow the contours of the fabric beneath. When item is in use, pressures exerted on a poorly applied patch may put undue stress on the bonding. ● MastaPlasta uses a water-based toxin-free adhesive. Designed for one-time application.
