Special Features

  • Carnauba wax can be used to finish wood products. Carnauba Wax has a multitude of uses, so it can be used by almost anybody. It can be used as an extra protective coating on wood floors and furniture, and can be buffed to a brilliant shine.
  • A good helper for car polishing. Carnauba wax produces a glossy finish which makes it an ideal ingredient in automobile and boat waxes, especially combined with beeswax.
  • Carnauba palm tree is a plant native exclusively to northern Brazil and is grown only in the northeastern Brazilian states of Piauí, Ceará, Maranhão, Bahia, and Rio Grande do Norte. In its natural form, Carnauba wax state, carnauba wax is a hard yellow-brown or dark-yellow brittle substance with an unmistakable sweet smell (which explains the other popular alternate term "palm wax"). It has a high melting point of roughly 98°C (208°F), which makes it nearly impossible to apply carnauba wax by hand.
  • Carnauba wax is insoluble in water but is soluble in alcohols and oils. Carnauba wax melting point is 82-86°C. It is one of the hardest natural waxes. The exceptionally high melting point of Carnauba Wax makes it ideal for enhancing the thermostability of cosmetic formulations. Carnauba wax is used in balms, make-up foundations, hair care, salves, creams, lotions, and more.
  • Vegetable wax from a palm tree grown in Brazil known as CARNAUBA. Its leaves secrete a significant amount of wax which has many uses. The yellow carnauba flora comes from the unopened leaves of the Copernicia-Cerifera palm tree. In cosmetic use, it's ideal for thickening and stabilising your home-made products (creams, balms, lipsticks, etc.). Dosing information: 1% to 10% of the total amount of your preparation. Melt the wax with the oil (melting point approximately 63°C). Ingredient for home-made cosmetics authorised by the main organic cosmetics standards.
  • Carnauba wax is used as a thickener in cosmetics such as eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow, and skincare care preparations, because of its hypoallergenic and emollient properties as well as its gloss. Carnauba wax has very good emulsification properties and excellent oil-binding capacity for ester oils and mineral oils. It also raises the melting point of gels, thus making it the preferred additive in eyeliner, mascara and many other cosmetic products. It also creates a protective layer and adds shine and glow to the skin.
