Kids Behavior Chart with 11 Movable Behaviors. As a Mom of 4 I can find myself stuck in a negative loop, forever correcting my kids, and putting out “fires”. The idea for this chart is to praise your child for what they are doing great while targeting the behaviors that need improvement. Much like a school report card. This chart comes with 11 default behaviors (I'll explain the 11 further down), 4 color or grade sections, and a storage section at the bottom. This chart can accommodate 6 behaviors in each color section. Pick and choose how many behaviors you want in play at any one time. If your child consistently has more than 6 behaviors in any one section then consider retiring some of those behaviors for now. Once you've chosen the behaviors move the behavior pieces up and down on the chart to match your child's actions. This is going to be a great way for you and your child to remember that there is good and that you SEE the GOOD. It will also give a child hope that they will succeed.
When I selected the behaviors to include with this chart I had to stay away from the “No” or “Don't” behaviors. The reason is because it gets confusing when you put a “No Whining” in the Red section. Its like creating a double negative. So at first glance it might seem like I'm missing some important behaviors but I'll give you ideas on what the behaviors can cover.
The 11 included behaviors are as follows:
-Share (don't fight, Take Turns)
-Hands to Self (No Hitting, No Wrestling)
-Use Manners (No Yelling)
-Use Words (No whining, No baby talk)
-Ask First
-Wait Patiently (Don't Interrupt, No Whining)
-Listen the 1st Time (Obey, No Reminders)
-Follow Directions (No Shortcuts, Don't be Lazy, No Reminders)
-Be Honest (No Lying)
-Finish Meals
-Be Nice
If you have any questions just ask. Additional behaviors can be purchased, just message me before purchasing.
