The fan is turned on by the temperature switch at about 185 degrees Fahrenheit and turned off at 175 degrees. The temperature sensor that comes with it has a 3/8-inch pipe thread, and for further flexibility, a 1/2-inch adaptor is included.
To handle a higher current demand, you might need to solder or crimp larger wires if you intend to use high-profile fans. For fans that require a higher amperage, the 14AWG wires that are included might not be enough because they are rated for 15 amps.
