ELABORATION PROCESS
To take dimension of the quality of the wool poncho, it is important to understand its elaboration process. All of our alpaca and sheep cloth is handmade, the procedures and techniques for its creation have been passed down from generation to generation.
Between one and four months are dedicated to the making of these shawls. The first step is to select the alpacas and sheeps and shear them. The fibers obtained are cleaned, dried in the sun, stretched to form a fleece and left ready to be spun by hand with the help of a spindle or a distaff (native elements from the region).
MATERIAL QUALITY
Sheep's wool is one of the oldest fibers known. Today there are many other fibers, synthetic and artificial, but science has not been able to create one with as many properties as sheep's wool.
It is insulating, it always keeps the body at the same constant temperature, regardless of how cold or hot it may be.
Sheep wool ensures greater durability and resistance. It does not wrinkle, it quickly recovers its original state thanks to its elasticity.
Also among many other advantages, sheep wool ponchos tend to keep clean since by absorbing moisture and reducing static, it rejects dust from the air.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
WASHED
The best way to keep your Sheep and Alpaca cloth in perfect condition is to wash it by hand with cold water without squeezing or mistreating using mild soap or shampoo.
DRYING
To prevent alpaca hoodies from becoming deformed or wrinkled, these winter cloth must be squeezed slightly to remove excess water. Products should never be twisted or drained. Dry ponchos better in the shade. Hang it on a hanger to preserve its original shape.
IRONING
This wool is a very sensitive fiber, so this type of shawl should not be ironed. If necessary, avoid direct contact of the iron with the garment, using a towel on top to protect it.
