The Tekton 3/8 Inch Drive x 7/8 Inch 6-Point Oxygen Sensor Socket was designed to accommodate the vast majority of oxygen sensor styles encountered today. We optimized the socket for wire clearance by increasing the slot and well depth to keep the sensor's wires from getting pinched or damaged. The socket has 6 points of engagement and provides an exact fit and maximum contact with oxygen sensors. Radiused corners prevent damage to oxygen sensors by applying force to the flat sides of the sensor's hex, rather than the corners. The size numbers are deeply laser engraved with a textured finish to create a contrasted, easy-to-read marking. The engraving takes place before the socket is chrome-plated for added corrosion resistance. The socket is made from 50BV30 chromium-vanadium steel and hardened to 41–49 HRC for strength and durability. Chrome plating on the outside of the socket and clear coat on the inside protect against corrosion.
