Our Newsboy Flat Cap offers you the vintage styled look with the Walker and Hawkes finish. Comfort and style - along with value for money you won't find anywhere else.
Newsboy hats are similar to Flat Caps in that they both have stiffened, small peaks and are usually made out of tweed. The Newsboy Cap differs by being slightly more rounded, with a looser look. They are also stitched together in panels, joined to the top.
Although they are more rounded than the Flat Cap, they are not as rounded as the Baker Boy Cap - another similar style often confused with the Newsboy Cap.
As the name suggests, Newsboy Caps were first popularised by newspaper boys because of its functionality and warmth. Upper class men then embraced the hat - using it for it's undeniable style, and functionality for sport hunting and shooting.
During summer, the peak will keep the Sun out your eyes while its breathability and lightweight design will keep you cool and dry. In colder, wetter conditions its water-resistance will help keep you dry and the solid feel will keep your head warmer.
Protect the longevity of your hat by hand-washing your product.
Durable - tweed is woven extremely tight so is very durable. It can be bent over 20,000 times without breaking.
Water-Resistant - it is water-resistant as it can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without soaking through. This also helps absorb perspiration to keep you cool during Summer months.
Solid-feel - as usual, Walker and Hawkes hats give you a deep fit so it feels snug and firm around your head. Be sure to check our size guide.
Resistant to creases and wrinkles - you won't have to worry about your tweed garment creasing or wrinkling due to its natural elasticity
