【Installation】: With the hood removed, first locate the ECT1 connector and then reach down and press on the flat portion of the connector to release the tab while pressing on the tab to slightly wiggle the connector and disconnect the ECT1 sensor connector. Next, you should plug the female connector from this product into the ECT1 sensor and finally plug the female connector from the vehicle's OEM harness into the male connector of the VCM Disable Kit harness, which is finished.
【Special Attention】: The product has 4 different resistors - 68 Ohm, 82 Ohm, 100 Ohm and 120 Ohm. When the operating temperature changes, the required resistance will be different. Monitoring is required for one week after each change in resistance. If the ECO indicator is always off, no change is necessary. If the ECO indicator remains on frequently under normal driving, the resistor shoould be increased. If the CEL comes on and does not go off after one week, increase the resistor value.
