Product Installation
Preparation: Prepare tools required, such as socket set, screwdrivers, ratchet, and torque wrench, disconnect the negative terminal of your vehicle's battery
Access the Transfer Case: Use a jack and jack stands to raise the vehicle, you may need to remove some undercarriage panels or shields to access the transfer case
Locate the Shift Linkage: Find the transfer case shift linkage and the shifter control linkage
Remove the Old Grommet: Carefully loosen any bolts or clips securing the linkage to the transfer case and shifter
Pry Out Old Grommet: Use a pry bar or screwdriver to remove the old grommet from its housing carefully
Install the New Grommet: Position the new grommet correctly in its housing, matching the orientation of the old one
Secure Linkage: Reattach the linkage, keeping all bolts and clips are securely tightened
Reassemble and Test: Reinstall any panels or shields you removed earlier, reconnect the battery. Lower the vehicle and start the engine. Test the transfer case shifting to keep smooth, non-noise operation
