Special Features

  • MAXXIS ASSEGAI: Greg Minnaar's signature tire – the Maxxis Assegai – provides tenacious, predictable grip across the entire profile no matter the lean angle.
  • 3C MAXXGRIP: Uses the stickiest, slowest rebounding rubber we offer in a mountain bike tire. This high traction compound is the same one used by our top World Cup Downhill and Enduro World Series athletes and is now available in a variety of casing configurations to cover all riders.
  • DOUBLEDOWN: Maxxis' solution for enduro racing. Two 120 TPI casing layers reinforced with a butyl insert provide the enduro racer with the support and protection of a downhill tire, but in a more compliant package. DoubleDown specs are a great choice for most e-mountain bikes.
  • E25: Tires with an E25 rating are suitable for light duty e-bikes with assistance up to a maximum of 16.1 MPH.
  • WIDE TRAIL: Optimizes the tire's tread layout and profile to match today's modern, wider rims. Maxxis offers WT tires for everything from XC to gravity applications. A 30mm internal width rim is ideal for most applications, but WT tires can be used on rims ranging from 19mm to 35mm internal.
  • QUALITY GUARANTEE: 1-Year Manufacturer's Warranty

Designed in conjunction with Aussie DH racer Troy Brosnan, the Dissector seeks to minimize drag while retaining cornering control. This versatile tyre can be used as a front, a pair, or as a rear depending on trail conditions.

3C MaxxGrip uses the softest rubber compounds to offer the ultimate in grip and slow rebound properties for unparalleled traction in downhill applications.

Wide Trail (WT) Construction optimizes the tyre tread layout and profile on todays modern, wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed around older, narrower rims and can create an overly square tyre profile, leading to less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for a 35mm inner rim width but are proven to work over a range from 30-35mm inner rim widths, depending on the riders preference.

DH Carcass / DD - An extra piece of butyl rubber that extends from the bead of a downhill tire up into the sidewall. The butyl insert helps prevent pinch flats, protects the rim from hard hits and adds sidewall stability.

Tubeless Ready Tires provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tire; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube
