STD Rings are made of CNC machined steel with two Torx head cap screws. The front ring has a machined dovetail that fits directly into the corresponding opening of a STD rail, while the rear ring is machined to lock in securely to the STD rail's windage screws. This system is easy to install, and provides a repeatable mounting solution that can be adapted to nearly any firearm. This pair of low STD rings place the centerline of the scope 0.65 above the top of the mounting base. About Leupold
From humble immigrant beginnings, Leupold grew--based on a promise of quality--to become a classic American company. In 1907, Fred Leupold set up a one-man shop at 5th and Oak streets in Portland to repair surveying equipment. He was joined by his brother-in-law, Adam Voelpel, and later by inventor John Cyprian Stevens, and the foundations for a century of success were in place.
During Leupold’s second half-century, the company focused heavily on the sports optics business.
