Special Features

  • SFP(+) modules support a wide range of fiber optic and copper ethernet links, up to 10G bits per second.
  • The SharkTapSFP+ also supports DAC cables, for zero power and zero delay.
  • Powered by a USB-B cable (included). USB3 (3A, or 15W) is recommended. The SharkTapSFP+ can be powered from a USB jack or a cellphone type 'wall wart'
  • The USB connection also exposes a terminal interface (CDC) allowing the user to track the SFP(+) modules installed, or to access an API that allows external programs to access any special features of modules.
  • The SharkTapSFP+ makes copies of NETWORK port data, allowing you to monitor and capture ethernet data without affecting the NETWORK connections.

Description

The SharkTapSFP+ to monitor data on SFP or SFP+ based ethernet links. The transmit and receive data between two 'NETWORK' ports are duplicated to two 'Carbon Copies' ports, allowing the data to be captured and monitored using a PC running Wireshark, or equivalent setup.
