The Vault is a small form factor PC built for use as a firewall / router and other, typically Open Source, applications. The V1610 is the third of a new “V” series of Vaults which employs the Intel N6005, fixed DDR4 memory configuration (16GB on the V1610), 32GB eMMC, M.2 NVMe storage along with M.2 slots for optional WiFi, LTE and other modules. The V1610 has 6 Intel I226-V 2.5G RJ-45 Ethernet ports. The Vault uses standard Intel components, including Intel network ports, which results in compatibility with a large variety of operating systems (OS) and applications. The “V” series of Vaults are fanless so it has no moving parts, which results in an incredibly durable platform that can be used in less than ideal environments. Its all aluminum enclosure is a giant heat sink, keeping the CPU cool.
