This rack mount kit is used to mount a Cisco Catalyst 2955 series switch into a 19" equipment rack. If you own a 2955 series switch you know that it is oddly shaped (relative to other switches) - this rack mount kit will allow you to mount the oddly shaped 2955 into a standard 19 inch rack. The rack mount kit is also sometimes referred to as a DIN Rail Adapter

The rack mount is compatible with e the WS-C2955C-12, WS-C2955S-12, WS-C2955T-12 models in the series.

The rack mount includes a DIN Rail Adapter that helps in mounting and installing the switch on to the DIN rail which serves as a sturdy and standardized platform for organizing and managing switches along with other control and automation equipment within an industrial control panel or equipment rack.

The rail adapter is made from cold rolled carbon steel with a chrome finish.
