Usage Warnings:
1. Lead is a toxic material
2. Make sure you wear protective clothing when handling molds and must be careful when heating and pouring lead
3. Use dry molds as water can cause the molten lead to explode and cannot be handled properly When disposing of unwanted lead please take note of your local authority about appropriate methods.
Steps for use before pouring:
Put scrap lead into saucepan and heat until molten (lead will normally melt at 650 degrees Fahrenheit). Once the lead has melted, use a cooking spoon to remove any impurities that have risen to the top. Place the hanger wire (only use wire if you are making a sinker that requires a hole in the center) and place it into the mold. Use the matching pliers to carefully grasp the sides of the mold with the pouring cavity facing you
Pouring step:
After the above steps are ready, pour the molten lead into the mold until the cavity is filled. Wait 10 seconds, use pliers to pull out the wire, then proceed to open the mold. Use pliers to cut off the excess lead on the top of the sinker, and the production is complete.
