iDatastart makes it easier than ever to add remote start. This PLUG N PLAY system provides everything you need in one kit: an antenna/receiver that connects to the iDatastart digital remote start module via the included vehicle-specific T-harness, which plugs into your vehicle's electrical databus system. This allows you to remotely start and stop the engine, as well as lock and unlock it. Just push the main button on the included keychain remote, giving you the luxury of being able to start and warm up (or cool down) your vehicle before you begin your trip or commute.
Or if you choose, you can also use your OEM vehicle factory key fob's lock button to start vehicle remotely. Certainly, this option won't provide the maximum range; you'll need to stay close to the vehicle.
ONE WAY or TWO WAY? What's the difference?
A "1-WAY" system only sends a signal from the remote to the vehicle without receiving confirmation, meaning you press a button and the car starts but you don't know for sure if it actually started, while a "2-WAY" system sends a signal to the car and then receives a response back from the vehicle, confirming that the command (like starting the engine) was executed successfully.
