Italian military men, WWII era. Plastic modeling is an area of model making in which models are mainly built from plastic (now mostly polystyrene). These are usually drivetless stand models where interest is more on a high level of detail than robustness or function, but can also be played with a limited degree of play. Kits made from prefabricated parts are mainly used here. It is less common to find kits made of deep-drawn shapes (vacu kits) and pure resin kits.
