Natural driftwood contains tannins,which can affect water quality.If your aquarium does not have a filter,we recommend cooking the driftwood for over 3 hours on several occasions and soaking it for one to two weeks.This process will help ensure that all tannins are fully released before placing it in your fish tank.Patience is key during this time,so please be cautious if you're in urgent need of use.
We encourage all purchasers to follow these guidelines closely and ensure that any remaining tannins are completely removed within two weeks.
