The Matchbox Top Gun: Maverick was originally set to release for June 2020 across all retailers, however with the COVID-19 outbreak delaying those plans, it was unknown if the line itself would end up releasing to coincide with the release of the movie of the same name, which was pushed and eventually released in May 2022.
