Description
This yarn is also known as the Himalayan Sari Silk Yarn made from the Sari Silk Fiber. During the making of Saris in India, a lot of small finer threads of various colors are left over from the looms, which are then collected together. These are cleansed manually and then spun using the Takli (Drop Spindle) or the Charkha (Spinning Wheel) in villages. This is mainly a cottage industry which supports them financially. This Type of Yarn can be used for Hand Knitting innovations, Crocheting, Surface decoration applications and other Crafty Ideas.
